About the Role
Award-winning HotelJobs is seeking a talented Senior Chef de Partie, Pastry Chef de Partie and CD P to join our 5-star lodges in Gansbaai, Western Cape. We are looking for experienced chefs with formal culinary qualifications and a passion for cooking to lead our kitchen teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen (Larder, Veg, Grille, Pastry, Pass) with minimal supervision
- Prepare and cook meals under pressure, following food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Maintain stock levels and manage inventory in the pantry
- Ensure that dishes are presented to high standards
Requirements
- Formal culinary qualification with at least 5+ years of professional kitchen experience or relevant experience
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, in 5-star lodge or hotel fine dining environment
- Expertise in managing a specific section of the kitchen and strong knowledge of food preparation and techniques
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Formal culinary qualification with at least 5+ years of professional kitchen experience or relevant experience
Salary & Benefits
- Live Out salaries: R17K – R19K per annum for Senior Chef de Partie, R12K – R18K per annum for Pastry Chef de Partie
