- Excellent MS Excel, Pastel knowledge and experience
- Knowledge in the steel industry
Duties
- Purchasing material for stock as per the replenishment system
- Purchasing material for customer orders
- Be aware of orders outstanding waiting for stock
- Source and select supplier with the best purchase terms
- Continuously following up with suppliers to confirm the status of deliveries
- Be aware of issues and alerting relevant people
- Alert sales people of stock shortages
- Monitoring price increases and decreases and inform sales people of the changes
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier comparison
- Follow the system at all times
- Be aware of system shortcomings and report this
- Carry out any other reasonable instruction not listed
