About the Role
Optim-G Sourcing is seeking an experienced and skilled Bedryfsbestuurder: Finansiele Dienste to join our team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies to achieve business objectives, drive growth, and improve Financial Services. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement strategies to achieve business objectives, drive growth, and improve Financial Services.
- Develop, implement, and review financial policies and structures that promote cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency while integrating good governance principles.
- Stay informed about current market and industry issues, regulations, and policies, and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
- Maximize company development opportunities by utilizing networks.
- Chair Credit Committee meetings and lead the Financial Services team.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the company.
- Identify and manage credit risks.
- Prepare reports on the performance of the credit department for review and presentation to management.
- Provide support in managing information systems to enhance client service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Regulations and Collections Department as well as the management of high-risk clients to ensure that bad debt within the company’s control limits adhere to the company’s guidelines.
- Continuously monitor and manage the performance of the debt book.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and update correspondence with lawyers, clients, and internal regulatory representatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Monitor productivity and effectiveness to improve the credit process and handle applications in a timely manner.
- Revise and formulate the credit policy taking into account changes in environment and legislation.
- Empower, motivate, and challenge the credit team to deliver high-quality projects and develop their skills.
- Grow existing and new debtors within the company’s budgetary limits and risk profile by identifying opportunities to expand product offerings to clients.
- Develop and present investment offers to investors and other external stakeholders.
- Support the General Manager with ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification;
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance is required; further studies will be advantageous;
- Knowledge of the National Credit Act and compliance with regulatory legislation will be beneficial;
- Full proficiency in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written communication);
- 3 – 5 years of management experience;
- 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in data analysis will be advantageous;
- Previous experience in agricultural financing will be advantageous;
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and processes;
- High level of accountability and ownership;
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; good knowledge of statistical processes and best practices;
- Experience in presenting statistical data to management teams;
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
