Job Description
1. Financial Recordkeeping
– Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions including standard journals, fixed asset
register, ICC charges, foreign exchange contracts, creditors documentation, Bee reports, stock take
records and general ledger reconciliations.
– Prepare, finalize and reconcile divisional charges monthly.
– Attend to capex requests and maintain the capex budgets.
– Prepare and submit expense claim forms for payment.
2. Accounts Payables
– Process foreign supplier and ICC invoices and payments accurately and timeously.
– Process transport invoices payments accurately and timeously.
– Reconcile foreign creditors and import transport creditors monthly.
3. General ledger and fixed assets reconciliation
– Reconcile general ledger monthly.
– Manage capex budget and ensure asset take-on are processed accurately.
– Reconcile fixed assets, depreciation and wear and tear monthly.
4. Reporting & Compliance
– Assist with BEE reports
– Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial information.
5. Process Improvement & Administrative Support
– Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes.
– Maintain accurate filing of financial documents (both electronic and paper-based).
– Assist the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis as required
