Job Description

Bookkeeping Functions: Daily bookkeeping and processing of financial transactions Bank and creditor reconciliations Invoicing and debtor follow-ups Processing supplier payments Assisting with monthly financial reporting Working on Sage accounting software Administrative & HR Functions: Maintaining accurate administrative and HR records Managing filing systems (electronic and hard copy) Preparing correspondence and internal reports Assisting with payroll-related administration (if applicable) Personal Assistant Support to Management: Diary and calendar management Coordinating meetings and preparing minutes Travel arrangements Providing confidential administrative support Operational Support: Liaising with staff, service providers, and consultants Assisting with operational requirements Supporting special projects and ad hoc tasks as required Expectations: We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven individual who demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and discretion at all times. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure is essential. Minimum Requirements Qualifications Matric (Grade 12) essential Sage Accounting certification or experience advantageous Experience Experience with full-function bookkeeping up to trial balance Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable Experience working in a small-to-medium business environment preferred Technical Skills Proficient in Sage Accounting (essential) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with payroll administration (advantageous) Ability to prepare monthly financial reports Strong reconciliation skills Key Competencies & Personal Attributes Highly organised and detail-oriented Strong numerical accuracy Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure Professional, trustworthy, and discreet Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills Good time management and multitasking ability Other Requirements Own reliable transport (essential Alberton based role
