Gauteng: Creditors Supervisor/Accounts payable supervisor

Job Function To coordinate and control the quality of the work activities of a Creditors team. Accountable for accurate and timely payment of creditors. Contributing to managerial decision-making. Key performance areas: Coordinate and control the quality of work performed by a team you supervise to ensure compliance to company policy and processes. Report on the work activities of the team you supervise. Resolve or escalate problems with the work performed by employees you supervise. Prepare payment proposals. Perform work activities in a way that limits cost. Plan, monitor, coordinate and control the quality of a team’s work activities to satisfy internal and external clients. Resolve escalated client/customer queries. Apply or initiate corrective and/or supportive action when required for employees you supervise. Monitor and record the time and attendance of employees you supervise. Provide ‘On-the-job’ training & guidance to employees you supervise. Complete own training successfully as per an agreed personal development plan (PDP). Collate Principal deductions. Prepare new take on forms for the trade. Set collection targets for credit controllers. Qualifications required: Grade 12. Diploma/Degree in accounting or relevant equivalent qualification. Intermediate Excel. Experience within logistics and transport industry will be an advantage. Skills and experience required 5 – 8 years’ relevant work experience Must be computer literate -excel and accpac Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Problem solving & Analytical ability Excellence inter-personal and communication skills Self-motivated Time management skills
