Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership: Manage and supervise workshop staff, completing work efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with company guidelines, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Inventory and Equipment Management: Track and manage workshop supplies, tools, and equipment. Ensure the workshop is well-stocked and equipment is properly maintained.
- Health and Safety Management: Enforce health and safety standards, conduct training, and address any safety issues promptly.
- Budget and Cost Control: Help control workshop expenses by managing resources efficiently and minimizing waste.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and keep up with the latest industry advancements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inventory, and staff performance
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum of 10 years experience in trailer manufacturing and repair.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role within a workshop or similar environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of quality control, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills
- Qualification in Trade ( Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Vehicle Body Builder) will be an advantage.
- Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge.
- Experience in hydraulics, airbrakes, air suspension, steelwork and pain.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Own transport
- Market Related Salary
