Our client is a global engineering and automation solutions company specialising in advanced industrial systems for mining and production environments. They provide innovative products, pre- and post-sales technical support, and training, helping customers optimise safety, efficiency, and reliability. The Engineer will provide pre-sales, installation, and post-sales technical support for underground mining equipment. Duties include troubleshooting, commissioning VRV and auxiliary systems, liaising with customers and distributors, assisting with product development, conducting site inspections, providing training, preparing technical documentation, and improving customer relations. The role requires travel throughout Southern Africa and occasional international assignments.
Job experience and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground mining environments, ideally with mine production and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; safety-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.
- Valid South African driver’s license, passport, and relevant certifications for site work.
