About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electronic Engineer to support, maintain, and develop underground mining electronic systems. The role involves working closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure reliable performance of communication, control, and monitoring systems in a challenging underground environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair underground electronic systems
- Support mining systems such as:
- Underground communication systems
- Tracking and telemetry systems
- Gas monitoring and safety systems
- PLC, SCADA, and control systems
- Perform fault-finding on electronic, instrumentation, and control equipment
- Ensure systems comply with mine safety standards and regulations
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
- Provide technical support and training to technicians and operators
- Maintain technical documentation and service reports
Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
- Proven experience working in underground mining or heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, instrumentation, and control systems
- Experience with PLCs, sensors, communication networks, and monitoring systems
- Ability to work underground and in demanding conditions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
