Job Summary

The Export Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales, managing relationships, and developing new business opportunities in the international and African market(s). The role involves overseeing the distribution of the clients cleaning products, working closely with retailers, distributors, and wholesalers to increase market share, ensure compliance with international trade regulations as well as primarily African markets, and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and implement an export sales strategy to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners in target markets.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and competition in home care and car care sectors.

Account Management & Customer Service

  • Manage existing international accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with retailers and distributors.
  • Provide excellent after-sales support, including product training and service follow-ups.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and shipments.

Compliance & Trade Regulations:

  • Ensure compliance with all export trade regulations, including customs, tariffs, and certifications.
  • Stay informed about changes in global trade policies and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Manage documentation for international shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Sales Performance Monitoring

  • Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports on sales performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely replenishment of stock in target markets.
  • Identify areas for sales growth and improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to create localized marketing strategies for target markets.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure products meet the requirements of international customers.
  • Liaise with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, international trade, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in export sales, preferably in home care or car care products.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing sales in international markets.
  • Familiarity with retail channels and distribution networks in the home care and car care sectors.
  • Knowledge of global trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
