As the Financial Director, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of the company. Duties:
 

• Work within an Exco team
• Timely and quality reporting [monthly & quarterly within the division and Group]
• Filing of regulatory returns [Vat, PAYE, Tax]
• Driving the management cycle process
• Provide leadership to the Board’s Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
• Take overall control of the company’s accounting function
• Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
• Lead and develop finance teams
• Ensure budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
• Take ultimate responsibility for the division’s cash management policies.
• Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
• Corporate finance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, as appropriate

Job Experience & Skills Required:
 
Qualifications:
 

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom in Accounting or finance
• BCom Honours Accounting or finance
• CA(SA) / CIMA 

 
Experience:
 

• 10 years of full cycle accounting experience and enrolled in a recognized accounting designation program.
• Proven track record of at least 8 years in financial management roles, preferably within the security industry or related fields.
• Proven experience in a senior financial management role
• Experience on SAGE and ACCPAC.
• Experience within a services environment an advantage
• Able to travel nationally when required.
