About the Role
Rad Resources is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the Accounting Department
- Controlling creditors, cashbooks and petty cash
- Debtors & Creditors reconciliations
- Compiling of annual budgets & cash flow forecasts
- Checking and signing off general ledger control account reconciliations
- VAT returns, EMP returns, handling all SARS related matters, journal entries, analysis, calculation and reconciliation
- Managing fixed assets and capital expenditure
- Prepare and maintain fixed asset register
- Upkeep of trial balance
- Negotiating with relevant creditors regarding payment
- Prepare and maintain finance lease schedule
- Undertake & manage stock control/count
- Compiling financial year-end schedules for audit
Requirements
- B. Com or equivalent tertiary accounting qualification with completed articles
- Accounting software (Pastel) experience
- 5+ years’ experience as financial manager // senior accountant
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce degree with a valid South African tax clearance certificate
