Gauteng: Groups and Conference Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE Our client, a luxury 4-star hotel located on the iconic Blouberg beachfront, is seeking a Groups & Conference Coordinator to join their dynamic Meetings & Events team. This role is central to delivering seamless group bookings, conferences, and event experiences that reflect the hotels high standards. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and guest-focused, with strong coordination skills and the ability to work under pressure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate group bookings, conferences, meetings, and special events from enquiry to execution Liaise with clients, guests, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations Prepare function sheets, event proposals, and contracts Manage room allocations, event set-ups, and special guest requests Oversee on-the-day event support and client liaison Ensure compliance with hotel standards, brand guidelines, and guest service excellence Handle billing, deposits, and event-related administration Upsell hotel facilities, packages, and services to maximise revenue opportunities MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 23 years experience in Conference & Events Coordination within a 4* or 5* hotel or similar luxury environment Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and client-facing skills Ability to handle multiple bookings and deadlines under pressure Proficiency in MS Office and hotel PMS/booking systems (Opera advantageous) Grade 12 (Matric) required; Hospitality qualification beneficial Professional, polished, and guest-focused approach South African citizens only OFFER Competitive, market-related salary 15 days annual leave Provident Fund contribution Meals on duty Career development and growth opportunities in a luxury hotel environment APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS Submit an updated CV with your South African ID number Include contactable references Ensure your CV is 100% up to date (critical for shortlisting) Only applicants meeting the minimum requirements will be contacted
