Gauteng: Head of Finance posted by Communicate Finance

Your role could include but is not limited to:
Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals
Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board on financial performance, growth opportunities, and risk management
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring the development of a high-performing department
Partner with operational leaders to support business planning, investment decisions, and cost optimization initiatives
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations for improvement
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation across multiple jurisdictions
Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory and tax requirements
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and operational risks
Oversee internal controls, audits, and corporate governance practices
Evaluate and manage capital expenditure, investment projects, and funding strategies
Support mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures with financial due diligence and integration planning
Maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders
Drive cost-efficiency initiatives across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operations
Provide financial insights to support pricing, procurement, and project management decisions
Collaborate with IT and systems teams to optimize financial reporting, ERP systems, and process automation
 
Skills & Experience:
Qualified CA(SA)
Minimum 8 – 10 years post article experience
Manufacturing/ Engineering / Mining industry experience
Experience working in a multinational entity
Team management experience
Exposure to Strategic and Operational business aspects
