Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
- Produce CAD drawings, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams for switchgear assemblies.
- Support the selection and integration of switchgear components including circuit breakers, relays, busbars, and enclosures.
- Work with procurement, production, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, BS EN).
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Some experience (academic or commercial) with power distribution and/or switchgear systems.
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
- Good understanding of electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical engineering environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
