About the role:
They are looking for a skilled PPF Wrapper to join their growing team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with paint protection film, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep passion for high-end vehicles. This role involves precision application of PPF to various vehicle surfaces, ensuring a flawless and durable finish that meets luxury standards.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
- 2+ years’ experience applying paint protection film or vinyl wraps.
- Valid driver’s licence (Code 8).
- Experience working with luxury or performance vehicles (advantageous).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- xcellent precision and attention to detail.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Knowledge of PPF materials, tools, and application techniques.
- Ability to prepare surfaces thoroughly for adhesion and finish quality.
- Technical proficiency with heat guns, squeegees, and cutting tools.
- Problem-solving ability for complex surfaces and vehicle contours.
- Understanding of vehicle anatomy, including panel edges and trim.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by washing, decontaminating, and performing minor paint correction where necessary.
- Measure, cut, and fit PPF using templates, pre-cut kits, or custom-cut patterns.
- Apply paint protection film to vehicles, ensuring alignment and smooth application with no bubbles, creases, or visible seams.
- Trim, seal, and finish film edges for a seamless look.
- Inspect completed installations for quality and durability.
- Maintain tools, workspace, and materials in a clean, organised condition.
- Communicate with team members and, where applicable, explain film benefits or aftercare instructions to clients.
- Follow company safety protocols and handle chemicals responsibly.
