About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Events Manager to lead our team in planning, coordinating, and executing events in Johannesburg. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day event logistics, stakeholder and supplier management, and ensuring seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day event logistics from concept to delivery
Break down complex projects into detailed task lists, timelines, and workflows
Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Source, negotiate with and manage local suppliers and venues
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
Manage budgets, invoicing and documentation for all event projects
Client Engagement: Attend client meetings and virtual calls; take clear actions and follow-ups
Respond to client requests with clarity, professionalism and urgency
Support senior team members in preparing pitches, presentations and reports

Requirements

At least 10 years experience in event coordination
Strong project management skills
Clear written and verbal communication, with excellent interpersonal skills
Comfortable with multiple simultaneous projects and tight deadlines
Confidence in managing suppliers and clients professionally
Resilient under pressure, especially with demanding clients and high standards
Ability to work independently
