About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Events Manager to lead our team in planning, coordinating, and executing events in Johannesburg. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day event logistics, stakeholder and supplier management, and ensuring seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day event logistics from concept to delivery
- Break down complex projects into detailed task lists, timelines, and workflows
- Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Source, negotiate with and manage local suppliers and venues
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Manage budgets, invoicing and documentation for all event projects
- Client Engagement: Attend client meetings and virtual calls; take clear actions and follow-ups
- Respond to client requests with clarity, professionalism and urgency
- Support senior team members in preparing pitches, presentations and reports
Requirements
- At least 10 years experience in event coordination
- Strong project management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with multiple simultaneous projects and tight deadlines
- Confidence in managing suppliers and clients professionally
- Resilient under pressure, especially with demanding clients and high standards
- Ability to work independently
