About the Role
A popular bistro restaurant in Pretoria is seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Manager to join their growing hospitality team. This role offers handson operational involvement, staff leadership, and the chance to contribute to a vibrant, modern dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily cash-ups
- Morning capturing for the bookkeeper
- Cash counting
- Issuing daily floats and keys
- Daily logging of fuel on Fuel Smart
- End-of-day commercial entity cash-up
- Loading invoices on Oracle for payment
- Capturing petty cash and imprest card purchases on Oracle
- Checking and sending daily speed point batch reports
- Coordinating private functions, weddings, and celebrations
- Assisting with midweek and month-end stock takes
- Maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service
- Training; mentoring, and supervising staff
- Creating and maintaining menus aligned with culinary trends and guest preferences
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues promptly
- Preparing weekly and monthly stock reports
- Ensuring management visibility on the floor every second weekend
- Transporting staff on the resort when required
- Assisting the commercial manager with additional duties
