Job Summary
- ABAP & ABAP OO Expertise – Strong experience in ABAP Object-Oriented programming, with a deep understanding of performance tuning, ABAP objects, logs, and dumps analysis.
- Data Extraction & APIs – Proficiency in OData, Restful APIs, RFC, BAPI, ODP for data extraction and provisioning.
- SAP System Architecture – Strong technical experience with SAP systems on the cloud and Data Tiering Optimization.
- Security & Authorisations – Experience implementing SAP authorisation concepts, including roles and authorisation objects.
- Agile Work Model – Ability to adapt and take on additional responsibilities as part of the Agile Working Model (AWM).
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- SAP HANA & BW/4HANA Expertise – Knowledge of BW/4HANA modelling, ADSO, CP, process chains, BEx queries, ABAP on HANA, HANA SQL, and Eclipse/HANA Studio.
- UI5 Development – Hands-on experience with SAP UI5 for HTML5-based user interfaces.
- Testing & Automation – Strong knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and test automation tools.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills – Ability to engage effectively with global teams and end users.
- Business Acumen – Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Flexibility & Mentorship – Willingness to take on diverse tasks, coach colleagues, and lead training initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing & Maintaining SAP Applications – Working on long-range vehicle production planning processes for plant and material capacity verification.
- Supporting International Volume Planning Solutions – Provide 2nd and 3rd line support (DevOps) for existing applications.
- Collaborating in an Agile Environment – Engage in Jira, Confluence, and XRay-based Agile processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with business users to gather requirements and propose system designs.
- Prototyping & System Design – Evaluate system alternatives and propose optimal solutions.
- Quality Assurance & Testing – Conduct system audits, penetration testing, and user training.
- Documentation & Compliance – Prepare technical/system documentation in line with ISO standards.
- Implementation & Continuous Improvement – Drive system implementations, parallel runs, and process enhancements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- IT Degree / Diploma – Or equivalent relevant experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP OO development in enterprise environments.
- Extensive experience in OData / Restful API development.
- Proficiency in monitoring and operating SAP HANA / BW/4HANA.
- Experience in manual and automated testing.
- Agile working experience – Strong advantage.
- Ability to work with foreign customers across different time zones.
- Strong team player and self-starter with above-board work ethics.
