Reporting to the Dealer Principal, this position will be suited to a person who will be able to ensure that the Dealership makes profits and maintain a good CE and customer relationship.Specific Role ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the department achieves budget objectives by continual examination of operating controlsOperate the department efficientlyEnsure accurate invoicing and job costingMaintain effective control of expenses in line with budget objectivesMonitor the effective use of labour by maintaining workshop productivity recordsEnsure that all outstanding debts are collected expeditiouslyEnsure that all materials purchased are controlled and sold at a profitReview all pricing policies, labour rates, fleet discounts, parts pricing and all other Company and FactoryPoliciesMonitor workshop productive performance by total and individual TechnicianMonitor all warranty claim submissions and requisite credits, and take action as requiredImprove the quality of Customer Service and Retention by enhanced facilities, improved Technician skills and effective marketing, and staff trainingTo ensure high standards of quality workmanshipMaintain records of Customer complaints and / or congratulations for use and action as requiredOversee warranty and goodwill casesEstablish training needs, plan programmes and maintain records of training.
