Duties:
- Lead by example to foster trust, open communication, and a cohesive team dynamic.
- Provide technical and project vision while motivating team members.
- Guide individual development and encourage growth and training opportunities.
- Facilitate collaboration, problem-solving, and consensus-building within the team.
- Maintain healthy group dynamics and resolve any dysfunction.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and team progress to stakeholders and escalate where necessary.
- Promote and enforce high standards of software quality and coding best practices.
- Oversee software packaging, deployment, and system integration.
- Maintain internal systems and ensure continuous enhancements.
- Manage and execute system engineering tasks and tickets.
- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer requirements.
- Standardise and improve technology frameworks and components (e.g., .NET stack).
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of progressive software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience with ASP.Net, C#, SQL, JavaScript.
- Practical experience in fast-paced software development cycles.
- Experience working with MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server (queries and stored procedures).
- Exposure to XSD, XML, JSON, and EDI data formats.
- Experience with deployment practices and internal systems maintenance.
- Experience using version control and code repository systems.
Skills & Competencies:
- Technical stack: C#.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server 2019, MySQL, NodeJS, REST API.
- Strong diagnostic and system testing abilities.
- Effective communication, coaching, and team facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently, including outside standard office hours.
- Reliable transport and broadband internet connection (remote work readiness).
- High adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic technical environment.
