Job Summary
Key responsibilities / main job duties:
Design and Analysis:
– Utilize CAD software (Siemens NX) to create 3D models and 2D drawings.
– Collaborate with other engineers to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.
System Integration:
– Understand the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems within the powerplant.
– Assist in the development of system tests.
– Support the troubleshooting and resolution of system integration issues.
– Manage the data acquisition system for the engine facility and flight platform.
Manufacturing and Production:
– Understand manufacturing processes and tolerances.
– Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design manufacturability.
– Support the development of manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
System Oversight:
– Support the engineering team in maintaining system configuration during development and the introduction of new powerplant options.
– Collaborate with the design and integration teams to ensure system integrity and performance.
Candidate requirements:
– 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry.
– Experience with power plants, thermodynamics, or propulsion systems is advantageous.
– Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Siemens NX.
– Understanding of mechanical design principles and testing techniques.
– Experience with data analysis and programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
– Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerances.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to work independently and take initiative.
– Qualification and/or professional license(s)
– B-Tech in Mechanical Discipline or higher
