About the Role
Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route. We are now accepting applications for a Group Coordinator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Making and processing group reservations and events by email and telephone
- Following up on tentative bookings and all deposits which are due and ensuring that these are processed
- Coordinate site inspections for groups travelling/requested with the various managers required (Conferences, functions)
- Coordinating pre-conference meetings to ensure correct handover to the operations team
- Pro-actively market and introduce available packages and new services
- Overseeing the entire event planning and handling any day-to-day queries and complaints
- Promote all activities available on the Resort
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Knowledge of MS Office suite
- At least 1 year’s work experience in reservations, customer sales, or banqueting & events coordinating
- A valid driver’s license
- Work experience on any booking and point-of-sales system would be advantageous
