About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Packaging Manager to join our team at Objective Personnel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily packing and assembly activities to meet order fulfillment targets. With your expertise in packaging automation and process improvement initiatives, you will play a critical role in driving efficiency and productivity within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily packing and assembly operations to meet order fulfillment targets.
- Allocate manpower and resources based on daily order volumes, deadlines, and priorities.
- Ensure all packing and assembly activities meet product quality and safety standards.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for packing, labelling, and assembly processes.
- Ensure orders are packed and staged for dispatch in line with customer requirements and dispatch schedules.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe packing areas in accordance with 5S principles.
- Coordinate with the Receiving, Inventory, Dispatch teams to ensure seamless material flow.
Requirements
- 5–8 years’ experience in packaging, assembly, or warehouse operations.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Proven experience implementing packaging automation or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Matric
- Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Operations.
- National Diploma in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Production Engineering (Advantageous)
