Job Description
- Material Planning:
- Analyse production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Production Coordination:
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and adjust schedules based on capacity and customer demands.
- Ensure that all production activities are aligned with company goals and customer requirements.
- Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve issues in the production process, minimizing downtime and delays.
- Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between different departments, including production, procurement, drawing office and sales, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, inventory levels, and any potential issues.
- Data Analysis:
- Utilize planning software and tools to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management to assist in strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in planning and expediting within the steel service industry or a similar environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and skills.
- Proficiency in planning software’s.
- Understanding of steel processing and fabrication is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment , including exposure to machinery and equipment.
- Must be a proactive and hands-on professional with a passion for optimizing operations in the steel service industry.
