• Material Planning:
  • Analyse production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements.
  • Forecast demand and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Production Coordination:
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and adjust schedules based on capacity and customer demands.
  • Ensure that all production activities are aligned with company goals and customer requirements.
• Problem Solving:
  • Identify and resolve issues in the production process, minimizing downtime and delays.
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Communication:
  • Serve as a liaison between different departments, including production, procurement, drawing office and sales, to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, inventory levels, and any potential issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in planning and expediting within the steel service industry or a similar environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and skills.
• Proficiency in planning software’s.
• Understanding of steel processing and fabrication is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment , including exposure to machinery and equipment.
• Must be a proactive and hands-on professional with a passion for optimizing operations in the steel service industry.
