Centurion: Project Planner – Engineering Projects posted by C3 Resource Investments (Pty) Ltd

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules In line with approved work breakdown structures (WBS) in MS Project, aligned with project scope and engineering deliverables
  • Update and maintain project schedules with actual progress data and forecasting dates received from engineering, expeditor, procurement, OEM’s and fabricators
  • Assist with resource loading, man-hour forecasting, and progress measurement
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform critical path and float analysis to support decision-making
  • Track engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site activities against the baseline programme
  • Provide updates to Senior Project Manager
  • Prepare progress reports, schedule updates, and look-ahead plans for management and clients
  • Support cost and resource planning in collaboration with project controls and management teams
  • Assist with change management, including schedule impact assessments
  • Ensure planning aligns with contractual milestones and reporting requirements
  • Participate in project review meetings and planning workshops

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Planner with demonstrated proficiency in MS Project and at least five years of proven experience within an EPC environment, supported by a strong technical background.
  • Strong understanding of engineering project life cycles and execution methodologies
  • Solid analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • High attention to detail, structured working style, and deadline-driven mindset
