Goodwood: Assistant Accountant with Xero Software Experience

Assistant Accountant (POS25292) Location: Goodwood (Cape Town) Salary: R 20 000 per month Requirements: Accounting Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a recognized institution Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar accounting position Proficient in XERO Accounting Software (essential) Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans Computer literate (MS Office, especially Excel) Valid drivers licence Willingness to work longer hours when required Available to assist for a few hours over weekends as needed Responsibilities: Assist the finance team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Process supplier and customer invoices efficiently and accurately Prepare and post journal entries Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and reporting Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Support auditors with required documentation and reconciliations Handle administrative and operational finance tasks as assigned Perform ad hoc duties as requested by management Participate in certain operational duties as part of the broader company function How to Apply If you meet the above criteria and are ready to take your career to the next level, please send your updated CV to
