About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a motivated Project Engineer specializing in the energy sector to join our client’s team in Cape Town. This role is pivotal in supervising engineering projects and ensuring that they align with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in renewable energy infrastructure, making significant contributions to sustainable projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of energy projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project scopes and objectives.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, making recommendations based on data analysis.
- Monitor project progress, quality control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present technical reports and project documentation to stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and project managers to ensure smooth operations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in energy technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering within the energy sector.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of energy systems, including renewable sources and infrastructure.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
- A track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion.
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this role. However, a relevant degree is preferred.
