Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join the team at a luxury safari lodge located within the iconic Kruger National Park. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic housekeeping team while working in one of South Africas most renowned wilderness areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the lodge
-
Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service
-
Monitor inventory and ensure effective stock control of cleaning supplies and guest amenities
-
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards
-
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
-
Manage staff schedules, leave planning, and performance appraisals
-
Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards across the property
-
Handle guest requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues promptly and professionally
-
Maintain and update standard operating procedures for housekeeping operations
Requirements:
-
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar leadership role within a luxury lodge or hotel environment

Strong organisational and leadership skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
-
Ability to manage a team effectively and foster a positive work environment
-
Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, products, and equipment
-
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Able to work under pressure and in a remote bush environment

Flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays
