Job Summary
- Manage all lodge operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day running
- Lead and motivate lodge staff, creating a positive and efficient team environment
- Oversee guest relations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and personalized services
- Monitor and maintain high standards in housekeeping, food and beverage, and facilities
- Manage budgets, cost control, and inventory
- Handle administrative tasks, including staff schedules, training, and performance reviews
- Coordinate with maintenance and security teams to ensure the lodge is well-maintained and secure
- Promote and uphold the lodge’s brand and values
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Assist with wildlife and guest activities, offering knowledgeable and engaging safari experiences
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in hospitality management, within a 5-star game lodge or safari lodge environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in managing operations, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of guest relations and service excellence
- Ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for wildlife and the outdoors
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Valid driver’s license (4×4 driving experience is beneficial)
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing needs and challenges
