What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Management & Accounting

• Overall ressponsibility for financials, including management accounts, budgeting, debtors, creditors and cash flow.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports for the School Management Team (SMT) and School Governing Body (SGB).
• Keep financial controls, systems, and reporting structures in check.
• Manage payroll and oversee financial policies related to school fees and exemptions.
• Ensure compliance with audits, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

Operations & Admin Support

• Work closely with the School Principal to keep financial and administrative processes running smoothly.
• Manage non-teaching staff handling finance, admin, and support services.
• Oversee procurement, facilities maintenance, and asset management.
• Make sure health, safety, and security policies are followed.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Management Accounting Experience: Solid track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and controls.
• Hands-On, Practical Approach:  In the small team everyone has to roll up their sleeves.
• Detail-Oriented & Proactive: You spot problems before they happen and fix them.
• Great Communicator: Fluent in Afrikaans and English, able to work well with staff, parents, and stakeholders.

What You Need

• BCom in Accounting, Finance, or similar qualification, or qualified by experience.
• 5+ years in financial management or management accounting.
• Experience in a hands-on finance role, preferably in a small or medium-sized business.
• Strong financial systems knowledge and proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
