HEAD CHEF WANTED | LUXURY LODGE | HOEDSPRUIT Kendrick Recruitment is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a stunning luxury river lodge in Hoedspruit. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a high-end hospitality environment and loves delivering exceptional guest experiences. ️✨ The Details Salary: R29,000 CTC (DOE) Live-in position Driver’s Licence required Key Requirements • Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar Head Chef role • Strong background in A la carte service for up to 170 pax, including buffets and outdoor functions • Proven experience running multiple kitchen venues • Confident in administration, stock control and reporting • Creative, detail-orientated and calm under pressure • Natural teacher and coach with strong leadership skills Key Responsibilities • Full day-to-day management of kitchen operations alongside the Executive Chef • Overseeing food preparation, presentation and final dish quality checks • Managing inventory, procurement, stock takes and invoice capturing • Ensuring health and safety standards, cleanliness and kitchen discipline • Supervising chefs, scullery and cleaning programmes • Managing rosters, maintenance prevention and equipment care • Handling guest feedback, dietary requirements and special requests • Ensuring smooth execution of A la carte, buffet and outdoor dining experiences If you do not hear back within 2 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
