Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Film and edit high-quality videos showcasing the wildlife, landscape, and guest experiences at the game lodge. Capture engaging footage of wildlife behavior, scenic landscapes, and other elements of the natural world. Lead safari activities, including game drives and bush walks, providing guests with memorable and educational experiences. Ensure the safety and well-being of guests during safari activities, adhering to all relevant safety protocols. Contribute to the lodge`s social media and marketing efforts by providing visually compelling content for various platforms. Assist with wildlife monitoring and conservation initiatives as needed. Maintain and care for camera equipment and other tools necessary for filming and guiding activities.
Requirements:
Proven experience in videography, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in filming and editing. Previous field guiding experience in a safari or wilderness setting is essential. FGASA Wildlife videographer Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in operating relevant camera equipment and editing software. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, to accommodate safari schedules and filming opportunities. Passion for wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism practices
