Our client in the FMCG industry is seeking to employ a skilled Technician UHT / ESL Filling and Downstream to join their team in Humansdorp.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving production and maintenance targets by performing preventative and reactive maintenance on filling and downstream equipment.

This role requires an individual who can work both independently and as part of a team. The position involves shift work and overtime to meet operational requirements.

Requirements:

• Qualified Millwright or Electrician (essential).
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics, mechanics, and PLCs (essential).
• Strong problem-solving ability and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and respond to operational demands.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on filling and downstream equipment.
• Ensure production targets are consistently met by minimizing equipment downtime.
• Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and adjustments on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all maintenance activities.
• Work effectively both independently and within a team to achieve maintenance and production goals.
• Adhere to operational schedules, including working shifts and overtime when required.
