Job Description

Simbithi Country Club is seeking an experienced PGA Golf Professional to join our vibrant Golf Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the daily operations of our pro shop and elevate the golfing experience for our members and guests. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Golf Operations Manager and Golf Operations Supervisor in overseeing the daily operations of the golf pro shop and the play of golf. Ensure timely opening and closing of the shop and maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation. Supervise and train pro shop and outside services staff, including golf cart attendants. Manage inventory display, packing/unpacking, stock takes and sales transactions. Handle member billing, cash receipts, and accounts receivable. Collect and reconcile green fees and cart rentals. Monitor member and guest experience, ensuring top-tier customer service. Coordinate reservations, tournaments, and special golf events. Provide golf lessons and play with members (upon approval). Marshal the course and enforce golf rules and safety protocols. Perform ad hoc duties as required Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: Matric certificate Valid driver’s license Professional Golf Management College degree, with PGA member or apprentice Experience: · 2 years’ experience at a Country Club or related · 1 years Proficiency in Point-of-Sale systems · Strong MS Office skills (Word & Excel) Competencies: · Customer Service · Problem-solving and conflict management abilities · Excellent interpersonal and people management skills · Strong sense of accountability and customer orientation · Experience with Club Master System (preferred) Interested candidates may forward their CV and a brief cover letter .
