Production Team Leader JDO_022_v2 Updated Nov 2023 Page 1 of 4 PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER Operations Accountable for specialist outputs and initiating changes in policies, procedures, standards and services within inter-related functional areas of responsibility. This role will work with various closely related concrete variables, requiring an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning inter-related functional processes. Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to enable achievement of Production targets, within area of responsibility, through effectively executing on production activities and ensuring adherence to an operational and financial framework of practices, processes, standards and controls. Key Accountabilities and Outputs Actively engage at regional level in the End-to-End Sales and Operational Planning Process &61623; Contribute to the Material Planning process as well as the execution of the Material Plan for region of responsibility &61623; Ensure that the Daily Production / Manufacturing Schedule is aligned to ensure delivery in line with customer requirements &61623; Work in conjunction with the Production Manager to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements, cost, quality and time parameters Produce / Manufacture Product &61623; Monitor the Daily Production / Manufacturing Schedule to ensure timeous product delivery to customers &61623; Execute on the entire end to end Production/Manufacturing process for relevant region &61623; Infrastructure Maintenance &61623; Ensure that all Infrastructure are maintained to ensure optimal capacity usage and availability SHERQ framework, initiatives and communications &61623; Assist with monitoring SHERQ Compliance in region of responsibility General Business, Financial and People Management &61623; Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes &61623; Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems &61623; Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls &61623; Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance &61623; Ensure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadership Production Team Leader JDO_022_v2 Updated Nov 2023 Page 2 of 4 Adherence to the Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety and Environmental Standards &61623; Adherence to Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Food, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards. &61623; Enforcement: Enforce all food safety and health regulations, policies, and requirements at all times to guarantee a secure work environment. &61623; Personal Hygiene: Maintain exceptional personal hygiene as per the organization`s code of conduct. &61623; Contamination Control: Raise awareness about potential physical product contamination and implement control measures to prevent it. &61623; Health and Safety Measures: Take reasonable precautions to prevent health and safety hazards. Follow the prescribed incident reporting procedure in case of accidents. &61623; Knowledge and Compliance: Stay updated with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures. Enforce compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, as well as GMP`s (Good Manufacturing Practices). &61623; Training: Attend and enforce the implementation of learnings from training sessions related to Quality, Food Safety, and Health and Safety. &61623; Housekeeping: Maintain high levels of cleanliness and orderliness within the work environment. Qualifications and Experience &61623; Diploma in Production Management or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) &61623; Leadership Capability (TLDP) &61623; Up to 4 years experience (Supervisory) Supervisory; FMCG (bottling preferred) &61623; MS Excel; MS Word; E Mail Key Qualities Communication &61623; Detailed verbal or written instructions or requests to employees or contractors Problem Solving &61623; Proactive identification of functional problems related to a specific process or policy, determine cause and impact, and choose the best alternative to solve the problem based on guidelines provided and an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning the problem.
