<p><strong>Position</strong></p><ul><li>Buyer Fluid Products. Steel Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, Valves and related fluid product.</li><li>Interaction with multi branch network – Branch Managers, Branch Buyers and Sales staff.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Continuous review of all group fluid products stock levels and replenishment needs.</li><li>Review product specifications &amp; align to group &amp; market requirements.</li><li>Identify and suggest new / alternative products.</li><li>Ensure correct <strong>Syspro </strong>fluid product descriptions and product grouping etc.</li><li>Identify &amp; continuous review of both local and foreign suppliers.</li><li>Relationship building with both local and foreign suppliers.</li><li>Forward planning with branch involvement and order placement of products ordered on group basis in line with approved stockholding limits.</li><li>Maximise price, credit terms and transport/freight costs.</li><li>Track both local and international pricing trends and review impact on current stock cost, orders placed and price lists.</li><li>Monthly review of group/branches stock levels in line with agreed stock levels and realign where necessary.</li><li>Monthly review of group/branches excess, slow moving, redundant and obsolete stock.</li><li>Assist individual branches at supplier level with large enquiries.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the buying of Steel Pipes, Fittings and Flanges.</li><li>Experienced in both local and international buying of fluid products.</li><li>Excellent fluid product knowledge</li><li>Advanced Excel computer skills are required and knowledge of <strong>Syspro would be advantageous</strong>.</li></ul>
