Company and Job Description: A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join its Group Shared Services division. This role is ideal for a strong credit control professional with supervisory experience who thrives in a performance-driven, process-focused environment. The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and coordinating the daily operations of the credit control team. The role focuses on driving collections performance, reducing bad debt, resolving customer queries, and ensuring strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team to achieve collection targets Allocate workloads, set priorities, and monitor team performance Conduct performance reviews, development planning, and succession management Oversee leave planning and team capacity Analyse aged debtors and drive reduction in delinquency Ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts and non-payments Approve refunds within delegated authority Oversee handover of accounts to pre-legal where required Prepare debtor reports, trackers, and anomaly reports Perform quality control checks on reconciliations and cases Manage monthly collection campaigns Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships Resolve escalated queries and complaints in line with SOPs Ensure compliance with collections procedures Ensure proper bad debt management and policy adherence Identify and improve credit control processes Maintain governance and risk management standards Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed Grade 12 Credit Management or Finance qualification Minimum 5 years credit control experience Minimum 2 years supervisory experience Strong knowledge of accounting systems Advanced Excel skills Apply now!
