About the Role
A leading insurer is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of financial planning models, as well as assisting with reinsurance optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Become familiar with the unit and group strategies and help the manager put them into action.
- Help create, construct, and upkeep of the financial planning model.
- Help create, construct, and manage the reinsurance optimisation model.
- Do an annual Actual vs. Expected review.
- Monitor pertinent laws like SAM, IFRS 4 and IFRS 17; Estimate the capital needs for local regulatory reporting.
- The creation and development of the capital model.
- Streamline the process of reinsurance optimization.
- Testing of the improved outcomes.
- Choose the best cessions for reinsurance contracts for every year of underwriting.
- Sharing information about the precise operations of the cash flow models.
- Contributing to the A&A Board Pack insert;
- Assisting with the automation and enhancement of numerous procedures.

Qualifications
- Degree in Actuarial Science
- Nearly qualified or Newly qualified Actuary
- Minimum 3 Years non life insurance Experience
