✈TRAVEL VACANCY ALERT✈ Senior Africa Travel Specialist Location: Johannesburg, South Africa (office-based). Candidates must be able to work from the Johannesburg office. Type of Property/Client: Leading luxury hospitality and travel company, specialising in bespoke itineraries across Southern and East Africa. Summary of Key Requirements: Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Senior Travel Consultant or Africa Specialist, ideally within a luxury tour operator or DMC Proven sales track record with the ability to meet and exceed sales and conversion targets Deep destination knowledge of Southern and East Africa, with strong existing networks in the industry Proficiency in travel reservations systems (ResRequest, Tourplan, Safari Portal, and CRM systems) Excellent communication skills with the ability to design, quote, and confirm high-end tailor-made itineraries Confident in handling high-value clients, resolving issues promptly, and providing an exceptional guest experience Degree or diploma in Tourism or Hospitality (advantageous) Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to upsell and cross-sell luxury properties and experiences Must be detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage complex bookings accurately from enquiry through to departure Salary: Market-related, negotiable based on experience, with relevant benefits.
