About the Role

The AI Engineer designs, develops, and implements artificial intelligence solutions aligned with business objectives within the banking and finance sector. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision making, optimise customer experience, and improve operational efficiency through AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy AI models and algorithms to support banking and financial services applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
  • Maintain and optimise existing AI systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and incorporate relevant advancements into current projects.
  • Implement machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision techniques as required.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and organisational policies when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Document development processes, model architectures, and test results comprehensively.
  • Provide technical support and training where necessary to stakeholders and end users.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practises.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively within the contract period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in developing AI or machine learning solutions, preferably within the banking and finance sector.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and services that support AI workloads.
