As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and overseeing the effective management of multiple stores. You will lead and support store management teams to achieve sales targets, maintain operational standards, and ensure compliance with company policies. You will also provide guidance and assistance to the Operations Manager and Group Direct-to-Consumer Channel Manager. WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS: Drive sales performance and support stores in achieving targets. ▪ Oversee the management of multiple stores within the region. ▪ Develop and implement store-specific marketing and promotional strategies. ▪ Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with standards and policies. ▪ Coordinate and assess training needs across all staff levels. ▪ Monitor product quality, stock control, financials, and hygiene through audits and daily checks. ▪ Manage staff rosters, leave, performance, and misconduct with the People & Culture Team. ▪ Support store managers as needed and assist with openings, trade shows, and events. HOW THE ROLE IS MEASURED: Sales Performance and Achievement of Store Targets ▪ Staff Management, Training, and Development ▪ Compliance with Customer Service Standards ▪ Accurate Financial and Stock Control ▪ Adherence to Store Policies and Procedures ▪ Day-to-Day Operational Efficiency ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12/Matric ▪ Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Food Retail, Sales or related field ▪ 5-8 years of management experience in hospitality, food retail sales environment, including multi-site management ▪ Proficient in GAAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) ▪ Strong numerical skills ▪ Proven staff management experience ▪ Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English ▪ Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards ▪ Valid driver’s license and own car COMPETENCIES: Attention to Detail: Accurate in financial, stock, and employee reporting. ▪ Sales-Driven: Focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets. ▪ Interpersonal Skills: Communicates professionally with customers and team members. ▪ Task-Oriented: Completes tasks efficiently and thoroughly. ▪ Deadline-Driven: Plans and meets deadlines consistently. ▪ Leadership: Motivates the team to achieve performance goals. ▪ Problem-Solving: Identifies and resolves issues effectively. ▪ Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
