About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• AI Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models, with a focus on semi-supervised learning and open-set recognition.

• Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with business units to ensure AI solutions align with strategic objectives.

• Research & Prototyping: Lead and contribute to real-time AI application research and prototyping in complex domains.

• Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee AI development from data ingestion through to deployment, monitoring, and performance optimisation.

• Architecture & Strategy: Contribute to high-level platform architecture and AI strategy.

• Knowledge Sharing: Document processes, share insights, and contribute to internal technical education.

• Ethical AI Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to responsible AI standards and legal frameworks.

Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

• PhD, Masters, or Honours degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions

• Proficiency in Python, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn

• Strong knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and data science

• Experience in deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Experience in smart grid systems, automation, or data-intensive domains

• Background in AI research or academic publishing

• Contributions to open-source AI projects or community initiatives

• Familiarity with AI governance and compliance
