Johannesburg: Buyer – Rivonia

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services on behalf of the Company. This role involves managing vendor relationships, conducting market research, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and optimising inventory management. Manage and process new supplier requests in alignment with company procurement policies. Conduct thorough due diligence to assess supplier compliance, financial stability, and risk factors. Ensure accurate and timely creation of supplier profiles on the procurement system. Develop and maintain a proactive contract renewal pipeline report to ensure timely renewals and minimize service disruptions. Review and approve all purchase orders to ensure alignment with budgetary controls and procurement standards. Build and nurture positive, professional relationships with suppliers to support long-term partnerships and service excellence. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements across procurement and contract management activities Oversee and maintain the contract database, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and timely updates. Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and B-BBEE requirements related to procurement and supplier engagement. Manage and coordinate Gambling Board audit processes, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory standards Experience and Skills Qualifications & Experience: Matric/National Senior Certificate 2years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and experience using Proactis (desirable) Ability to analyse data and support decision making Skills: Strong administration skills Good communication skills Strong negotiation skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers Excellent written & verbal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment Personal Qualities: A diplomatic and professional approach Ideally passionate about sports Salary – R25 000 – R35 000
