About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Casual Cashier to join their team at Bedford Square. As a key member of our store’s front-of-house team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a world-class shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Record customer transactions on the Dis-Chem operating system according to company policies & standard operating procedures
- Establish a professional relationship with customers and report any complaints or compliments to the Frontline Supervisor, or store management
- Ensure cash flow and manage the till securely, following strict safety protocols
- Process all purchases, including cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, and other forms of payments accepted by Dis-Chem
- Handle daily takings confidentially and only discuss with management
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certification
- Minimum of 6 months experience in cashier/till operations
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Sound numerical skills and strong command of the English language
- Basic customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
