Johannesburg: Debtors Coordinator

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Coordinator to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvements in AR operations. This role is based in Bryanston, Johannesburg North. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and reconciliations. Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and proactively follow up to ensure timely collections. Process and allocate incoming payments accurately across customer accounts. Resolve discrepancies and disputes with internal teams and external customers in a professional and timely manner. Prepare regular AR aging reports and highlight risks or irregularities to management. Support month-end closing activities by reconciling AR accounts and assisting with audit requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations teams to streamline processes and enhance customer experience. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. Job Experience and Skills Required: 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related finance role. Strong understanding of AR principles and general accounting practices. High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite).
