Job Summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Delphi Developer to join our client`s dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain software applications using Delphi and other related tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including analysts and project managers, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet client requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for coding.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development and Maintenance

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Delphi and related technologies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing programs.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

2. Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with business analysts and project teams to understand requirements.
  • Participate in architectural discussions to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Provide input on improving application performance, scalability, and usability.

3. Troubleshooting and Support

  • Diagnose and resolve software defects or bugs reported by users.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve system issues promptly.

4. Quality Assurance

  • Perform rigorous testing and quality assurance on applications.
  • Ensure all code complies with company and industry standards.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into development.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to existing software systems.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software development with Delphi (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Object Pascal and Delphi frameworks.
  • Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Proficiency in version control tools like Git or SVN.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
