Job Summary

To keep things running like a well-oiled CI/CD pipeline , were looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who can automate like a wizard, deploy like a boss, and sleep peacefully knowing monitoring is. Were changing lives. We”re reimagining financial access across South Africa with tech that actually matters . Think payments, banking, and inclusion all rolled into one smart, secure platform. Responsibilities: Maintain and monitor AWS and Teraco environments to ensure 99.9% uptime. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Optimize scalability, security, and performance of AWS services (EC2, RDS, ECS, Lambda, etc.) Utilize monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana for system visibility and alerting Perform regular patching and upgrades based on the approved patch policy Plan and execute maintenance windows with minimal service disruption Address vulnerabilities using scan results (e.g., Rapid7) to ensure environment compliance Deploy approved GitLab pipelines into production based on JSM change requests. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience. One or more of the following certifications (current and maintained): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate LPI Linux Essentials Red Hat Certified System Administrator Minimum of 3 years in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role. Hands-on experience in managing production workloads in AWS. Proven expertise in Linux server administration Advanced knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.). Strong experience with Terraform and other IaC tools. Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration (ECS a plus). Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools Reference Number for this position is GZ60640 which is a permanent Hybrid position based in Century City offering a cost to company salary of R720k per annum
