Johannesburg: IT Administrator & Support

Minimum Requirements: Proven experience as an IT Administrator or Technical Support role. Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and software applications. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (advantageous). Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations. Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications. Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity and security protocols. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Provide first- and second-line support to end users via phone, email, and in-person. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Create and maintain user guides and technical documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and system enhancements. Implement IT policies, procedures, and security standards. Assess business IT needs and recommend efficient technology solutions. Source and place orders for hardware and software. Maintain filing and administrative records related to IT assets.
