About the Role
Diverse Consulting Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Software Solutions Project Manager with a strong background in the Individual Life Insurance Industry for a permanent position based in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading project planning and implementation of IT Software solutions projects in the Life Insurance domain, ensuring timely delivery to external clients. This is a hybrid role that requires flexibility and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project plan according to agreed External Client Life Insurance Industry project targets.
- Monitor progress to achieving milestones and review status of all logs for a given development phase (target date).
- Address any delays with either the Account or Developer Manager, considering alternatives/action steps where overruns occur.
- Handle all communication between the External client and the Company.
- Manage changed events affecting project timelines.
- Lead planning and/or implementation of IT Software solutions projects in the Life Insurance domain.
- Participate in software design and/or software testing phases as needed.
- Facilitate definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
- Resolve/assist in resolution of conflicts within and between digital software development projects or functional areas.
- Develop methods to monitor project or area progress; provide corrective supervision if necessary.
- Assemble project staff for their technical or functional development, performance, and/or termination during the project or projects.
- Manage project budget and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Individual Life Insurance Industry experience.
- Minimum 4 – 8 years working experience as an IT Digital solutions Project Manager with experience in the Individual Life Insurance Industry.
- Working experience in the Life Insurance/Funeral/Risk Industry and software solutions projects for external clients/companies.
- Experience as a Scrum Master in life insurance (senior project manager position).
- Full SDLC (Software development Life cycle) working experience.
- Agile experience and Jira Experience in Life Insurance and software projects and client services.
Qualifications
- Matric Certificate.
- Software Degree or software Diplomas (advantageous).
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Salary package:
- Intermediate Project Manager Role: up to R 60 000 CTC Perm Month (maximum, non-negotiable).
- Senior Project Manager with experience as a Scrum Master: up to R 75 000 CTC Per Month (maximum, non-negotiable).
Note: A Pension Fund of between 4% – 11% of your Monthly Salary will be deducted from your Monthly Salary, which is mandatory for all employees.
